![]() This was certainly a bloody time in history with the constant battles for the crown and the right to rule England and for Elizabeth the precarious and uncertain role she would play in all of this saw both her way of life and her family constantly in danger and often hung in the balance of power-hungryrelatives even before her father died. Whilst this book is a fiction in as much the story is told from the viewpoint of Elizabeth herself, it is also very much steeped in historical fact. ![]() Having been given the opportunity to read the latest detailing the life of Elizabeth of York, who is someone I know very little about I just couldn’t say no. ![]() ![]() I have always meant to pick up one of the many books written by Alison Weir as they deal with an interesting time in history. ![]()

![]() ![]() I’m glad Ms Vincent didn’t make Nash the new kid at school (cause you know you’ve read THAT before) but once again, he’s the popular kid that suddenly pays attention to Kaylee. ![]() I’m not sure what this was supposed to be. This time, however, I feel like starting with the bad. Usually I start reviews pointing out the good. But Nash, the school’s hottie, suddenly has interest in her, and he seems to know more about what’s going on with her than he’s willing to let on. She can see dark shrouds around people that are going to die, and when teenage girls around her start dropping like flies she starts doubting her mental health. In My Soul to Take Kaylee thinks she’s going crazy. People assured me her YA series was better, and with the memory of the catastrophe Stray fading, I decided to give her a second chance. I read her urban-fantasy book Stray which I kind of hated. My first encounter with Rachel Vincent a few years ago didn’t go so well. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hopefully, that readable style means more people will dive into this vital exposé on lack of focus. Since the death of his father, Henry VIII, England has been governed by a protectorate under the control of the clever, powerful and wily George Boleyn (brother of Anne), the Duke of Rochford.
